Russ’ work focuses mainly on portraiture and the human form. Exploring our perception of others and the environments around us.
Using a variety of mixed media and painting techniques to illustrate concepts of beauty, fear, desire and adventure, my goal is to motivate intrigue and curiosity while also creating expressive and dramatic works of art.
Often bright and vibrant, I create work that can be thought provoking, inspiring a sense of wonder… or sometimes just bold pieces that are nice to look at.
